Whether you are looking for smaller fish such as spot, croaker, flounder, gray trout, or school –size striped bass or the larger species such as red drum, black drum, cobia, amberjack, or large striped bass or any of the numerous species in between, we can provide you with a fun filled day on the water. We offer light and medium tackle for the various ways of fishing in our area that include drift fishing, trolling, chumming, jigging, wire lining, and live bait fishing. We also cater to the up and coming trend of fly fishing.

Captain Hoggs Charters -
At Captain Hogg's Charter Service, we offer Lower Chesapeake Bay and Ocean Sportfishing at its best. We run half and full day charters year round. In early spring, we fish for Taug and Flounder then when the water warms up we offer some of the best Cobia, Red Drum, and Black Drum fishing in Virginia. We also offer bottom fishing trips with our catches including Flounder, Spot, Croaker, Blues and Trout and Wreck Fishing for Spadefish and Sea Bass. In the winter, we fish for the famous Striped Bass otherwise known as Rockfish.

Captain Laurence Ritter offers light tackle and fly fishing charters aboard The D-Seaver, a 25-foot center console, which is docked inside Lynnhaven Inlet only minutes from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Fishing is mainly done at night under the lights of the Bridge Tunnel where thousands of Striped Bass congregate to feed on baitfish attacted by the bright lights. The Striped Bass population at one point was almost depleted but due to conservation efforts by the state of Virginia and the Marine Fisheries Department the population has exploded and is truly one of the best sport fisheries on the East Coast.
